We have a certain body style that we want in the bucks that we raise. We have looked at the genetics available in the industry plus we have checked to see the quality they produce. We also watch the Production Sales to see what genetics get the most attention from potential buyers. We then determine which of those styles also deliver the best characteristics for producing lots of quality goat meat quickly.

The pictures below are the genetics that are in our breeding herd. They have been chosen because they are massive, muscular, and good balance. We believe that eventually Boer goats have to be considered more than just show animals and they have to prove they can produce the most goat meat in the shortest amount of time. We believe that focusing on the type of genetics shown below will give us that premium meat goat producer that is also nice enough looking to be show quality.
